Boston Marriott Long Wharf Hotel Celebrates their 25th Anniversary with Modern Hotel Renovations

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- The Boston Marriott Long Wharf luxury hotel marks its 25th anniversary with an extensive renovation, including all guest rooms, hotel suites and corridors, as well as Concierge Lounge and Grand Ballroom. This $16 million renovation brings a sleek, modern style to one of Boston's best located and best loved hotels and conference centers.

Floor-to-ceiling improvements include: modern 37" high definition LCD televisions with split screen technology and Marriott's innovative plug-in connectivity panel; wired high speed internet access (wireless access coming in June); comfortable, ergonomic furnishings; luxurious bedding with 300-count cotton-rich sheets; iPod clock radios; tile entry foyer; new carpeting, wall coverings, window treatments, mirrors and artwork.

All luxury guest suites at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf are completely reconfigured and renovated with modern amenities. Eleven new Executive King Suites are approximately 400 square feet, and offer all of the technical enhancements of the standard guest rooms, plus custom furniture and artwork. The hotel also now offers two Luxury Waterfront Suites, which are each about 600 square feet with a 200 square foot balcony overlooking the scenic Boston Harbor. These luxury waterfront hotel suites have full technical enhancements plus 42" high definition LCD televisions, custom furnishings and upgraded bathrooms. The hotel's largest suite, the Long Wharf Suite, boasts a separate bedroom, upgraded bathroom, spacious living area, hardwood floors, a fireplace and a modern 50" plasma television.

Guest room corridors are transformed with color and light. New carpet, ceiling lights and sconces, wall coverings and white paneled guest room doors combine to brighten and animate the hallway space on every guest room floor.

The hotel's Concierge Lounge -- now nearly twice its original size and completely renovated -- features a panoramic view of the Boston Harbor. Concierge guests can relax in comfortable lounge seating groups, finish up their work in the study (with two computers, complimentary high speed internet access, a laptop station and a color printer), or have a bite to eat in the dining area.

Meeting guests enjoy the fresh look of the Boston Marriott Long Wharf's Grand Ballroom. A color palette of blue, green and gold enlivens the space, while modern chandeliers and wall sconces cast an inviting glow. Warm wood paneling, sleek furnishings and eye catching artwork add interest throughout the 8,200 square-foot space. The Grand Ballroom design carries through to the expansive pre-function area. Newly remodeled, ceramic and marble restrooms complete the elegant mood.

The Boston Marriott Long Wharf hotel is within short walking distance of Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market and the Boston Aquarium, and just minutes from Government Center, Boston's Financial District, Boston Common, the Boston Children's Museum and the TD Banknorth Garden. The hotel offers easy access to Logan International Airport, Amtrak's South Station, the MBTA's subway and commuter rail and I-93.

This award-winning waterfront Marriott hotel has an indoor pool with Jacuzzi, steam room and private sun deck, all with breathtaking views of the City and Boston Harbor. A fitness center offers the latest in aerobic and weight lifting equipment. Hotel dining options include Oceana, serving fresh seafood prepared with care by Executive Chef Joseph Chaves. Room service is available, and a Starbucks Cafe serves fresh coffee drinks. Seventeen flexible meeting rooms and the newly renovated Grand Ballroom allow the hotel to accommodate meetings and events of any size.
