Steve Berczuk Joins Cyrus Innovation as Technical Lead in Newly Formed Boston Office
Boston (PRWEB) April 4, 2008 -- Cyrus Innovation LLC, an Agile software development firm headquartered in New York City, today announced that it hired Steve Berczuk as technical lead for its newly formed Boston office.
"As Cyrus responds to increased demand in the New England market," Bruce Eckfeldt, Cyrus Managing Director and Principal, said, "we are fortunate, indeed, to have signed one of the industry leaders in software configuration management."
Well-known in the industry as an "evangelist" for the effectiveness of development teams, Mr. Berczuk is the author of Software Configuration Management Patterns: Effective Teamwork, Practical Integration; a columnist for CM Crossroads; and contributor to Better Software. He is a regular at industry conferences, serving recently, for example, as panels chair of the OOPSLA (object-oriented programming, systems, languages and applications) conference. He also belongs to the New England chapter of Agile Bazaar.
Prior to joining Cyrus, Mr. Berczuk was a senior software developer at Fast Search and Transfer. He holds a master's in operations research from Stanford University and a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a certified Scrum master trained in Agile process management. Mr. Berczuk commented that "When Bruce Eckfeldt and Rex Madden, the principals who run Cyrus, and I met, we found that my experience and interests are an incredible fit with Cyrus's positioning and growth plans. It was an easy decision for me."
Cyrus creates highly usable solutions with a proven blend of Agile programming techniques, user-centered design, and deep insight derived from financial services experience. The company's website is http://www.cyrusinnovation.com.
