New Website Encourages Boston-Area Nightlife Enthusiasts to Log On and 'Get Out There'
Boston, Mass. (PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- Boston-area residents and visitors alike have a new tool to review the nightlife scene before stepping out the door. BostonNightLive.TV, produced by Night Life Media(tm), is a unique streaming video website designed to bring metro-Boston nightclubs, restaurants and activities to life through streaming video, blogs, pictures, newsletters and an events calendar. The website, created by Night Life Media CEO/Founder Theresa Rodrigues, launched in March of 2008.
"We are thrilled to provide a service that gives viewers an inside look at nightclubs, restaurants and other venues before they commit to choosing a specific location for a night out and spending hard-earned money," Rodrigues said. "The website is the only age-specific online guide with streaming video devoted solely to Boston-area night life." She added that the site targets the 21-34-year-old age bracket and her entire production staff also fits within that age group.
Videos on the site are broken down into three categories, including "crazy nightclubs/sexy lounges," "hip restaurants/hottest bars" and "special features." Rodrigues and her crew interview owners, staff, and clientele at nightclubs, restaurants and events and edit the footage into 60 to 90 second streaming video clips.
The website features blogs that allow viewers to interact and comment about Boston's nightlife. There's also an option to sign up for an email newsletter, which announces upcoming interviews, shoot locations and sponsors.
"Research shows that one out of every three Boston residents belong to the X and Y generations and 45 percent of people in this age group plan their social lives through the Internet," Rodrigues said. "We really hope BostonNightLife.TV will become their go-to guide to hip and sexy Boston."
Rodrigues says there are additional benefits offered to viewers and businesses, including giveaways and contests. She teamed up with local businesses to give special perks to people that hold a "BostonNightLife.TV Black Card." The card allows holders free entrance to certain nightclubs before a certain time and other benefits, which are revealed exclusively through the BostonNightLife.TV newsletter. Also, streaming videos are available for licensing to appear on websites of businesses showcased by BostonNightLife.TV. The videos will always be available through an online archiving system.
